Matthew Stratton

Thank you for visiting my web page. My name is Matthew Stratton. I am a senior at Clemson University studying Computer Science. I love computers and the internet. I feel privileged to grow up in a time of so much innovation and knowledge. Computer technology has grown so much since the 60's, and even from when I grew up in the 90's.  I look forward to seeing where it will go in the next couple decades and even helping it get there in whatever way I can, big or small.

I currently have an internship at Condrey Corporation, a software engineering company. There I am working on several projects to be released with their up coming update of their software suite. I am working primarily with C# in Visual Studio and ActionScript in Adobe Flash Builder. I am loving my work and cant wait to graduate and continue working in the field of software development.

Software Developer

I will graduate in December with a B.S. in Computer Science. I have focused on development in my studies as much as possible and love working on large scale, long term, group projects. It always amazes me, looking back at the end of a project at what a dedicated group of people can accomplish working together.

I am a lover of science and learning. I read as much as I can and frequently find myself researching topics that peak my interest. Theoretical physics, electronics, philosophy, linguistics, psychology, music theory. Anything and everything. I may not understand it all (or most of it), but I try. I am always asking questions and seeking answers.

I am an Eagle Scout, and learned alot about leadership during my days as a scout. I often find myself naturally in a leadership position. In group projects I end up being the one to delegate tasks and ensure they get done. I become the mediator among friend fights, and peer disputes, trying to keep the peace. I dont always want it or ask for it, but I will accept it.
